Method
 

1.)  SUBMIT APPLICATION:  We ask that each prospective family fill out and submit a Pup application, which is listed on the pup sales page.  This application helps you think of questions you might otherwise not have thought of and it helps us get to know you.  The application published is designed for "pet owners", if you are interrested in breeding /show rights please contact me by email or phone.  Our application must be filled out completely to be considered for one of our pups . 

2.)  SUBMIT DEPOSIT FORM: Once we have covered all questions and have decided that this is the right choice for both the puppy and you, you will be able to  fill out  our deposit form.  You need to know the gender and color of the pup you want before placing a deposit.  

When you place a deposit on a pet pup you will receive a "pick number"  if more than one pup is available in the same color and gender.  Pick numbers are assigned "in order"  according to when your deposit is received, on a "first in -  first pick" basis.  "Full Reg." deposits (when offered) are placed before "limited Reg." deposits.  All deposit holders must make their choice by the end of the seventh week.   At eight weeks pups are available to go to approved homes immediately.  Deposits are preferred above "holds" to assure the pup of your choice is available for you to pick up at your convenience.

3.)  WATCH FOR WEEKLY PICTURE UPDATES:  We will attempt to place weekly pictures (up to 12 wks) of the pups  on our web site along with their weights so you can watch them grow.  Occasionally I fall behind in this endeavor but I think we usually do pretty good at keeping up with this.  These pictures are available to you upon request.

4.)  P.A.T. TEST:  At six weeks we will do an  evaluation (P.A.T. "Puppy Aptitude Test") of each pup to help you determine which puppy will be right for your family.  We encourage deposit holders to wait until the pups are at least 6 wks of age to choose their puppies as their personalities are more prominent at that age.

5.)  CHOOSE YOUR PUPPY:  Your appointment to chose and pick up your pup will be set for the week-end between their 7th and 8th week in most cases.  Appointments will be made in order of pick number assigned.  Families of pups being shipped will pick out their pups via the phone or email.

6.)  DELIVERY:  Pups being delivered by air will have ship dates arranged after the pup turns eight weeks old and has been acclimated to the shipping crate. Pups being delivered by road shipping will have a date arranged after all the pups being picked-up and air shipped  have gone.

7.)  WHAT YOU TAKE HOME WITH YOUR PUPPY:  Your pup will will go home with up to date shots/wormings and received a first application of Frontline Plus.  Your pup will be micro-chipped and will have dew claws removed.  You will receive a puppy Pkt. with general and breed specific information, micro-chip application form, AKC registration application form, pedigree information, a copy of the signed contract with guarantees, and Health record.  You will also receive a sample bag of dog food (Purina Pro Plan Lamb and Rice- adult formula) and coupon for your first bag of food.

Note: We reserve the right to hold up to two pups for our breeding program. We also occasionally have customers who have paid deposits on past litters who for whatever reason, were not able to get a pup at that time. These families will have first pick numbers for pet quality pups (behind full registration, breeder pups) at the next available litter of their choice.
